A Night in Rome

by Sally Rowland

Rome is the perfect city for a romantic weekend break away. However if you're only going for a weekend, you will need to plan your time carefully to make the most of it! I have put together a guide on a night in Rome to give you some ideas of how you can spend an evening in the glamorous city.
The best way to start an evening out in Rome is to eat at one of the many magnificent restaurants. The best restaurant in Rome (as voted for by Zagat) is the Vivendo which is located in the St Regis Grand Hotel. The restaurant is very sophisticated (so the dress code is smart) and it has been decorated in a 40s style with wall hangings and Roman columns. The head chef is Chef Francesco Donatelli whose signature dish is sautéed scallops with asparagus and black olive pate in a seafood sauce. However, this restaurant is not cheap so if you're looking for something a bit less extravagant then there are plenty of authentic pizzerias on the streets of Rome.

Next you could visit Teatro dell'Opera to see a ballet or an opera, this is big night out for the locals and an excuse to dress up! Many productions have been performed at the Teatro dell'Opera including Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro and Norma. If you want to find out what's on when you visit you will have to visit the website because it changes quite regularly. With regards on where to sit, I would recommend one of the boxes, because the cheaper tickets mean you will be sitting high up which can spoil your view. Some of the weekend performances are shown early evening, so you might want to visit the theatre first and then go out to eat. Ticket prices vary on where you sit but you can order them online before you go.

Then what better place to finish a night than with a few cocktails in ReRe, this is one of Rome's more extravagantly decorated bars. ReRe's walls are painted red, with Leopard print covered chairs and dull lighting, I know it sounds tacky, but it is a sight not to be missed! They've turned it into a romantic bar with candles, fairy lights and sofas for two. They have a decent wine list, where you can choose between a 'Grattamacco' and a 'Nebbiolo' or why not try both?

If you want to find out about other restaurants or bars to visit when in Rome, then just read another travel guide. Other guides on Rome will be able to recommend good accommodation in the city and what opera or ballet's are on when you plan your visit. Whatever time you plan to visit Rome, you will never be short of anything to do!

Things to do in Guyana

by Trevor Browne

Guyana is a unique destination for all informed tourists. It boasts several natural landscapes and a wide range of activities.

Nature Resorts and Ranches

The wonders of nature abound in Guyana. Starting with the amazing phenomenon of changing colors in Guyana's coastal waters to a beautiful blend of black and blue waters, you are practically mesmerized. The initial brown waters gradually acquiring a darker color as you approach the more inward rivers and creeks.

There are numerous attractions in Guyana. Firstly, the white colonial Gingerbread cottages are a delight to behold. The rich forest birdlife in the Skanklands is another delight of nature. Also, the Gazebo on Kaow Island lies beyond the Shanklands is must see.

If you intend to visit Guyana, do not forget to book a Rock View Ecotourism tour; a graceful remains of an old ranch from the 1950s. You will also be delighted by the Dadanawa ranch located in the Southern Rupununi rainforests. Canopy Walkway and the Pakaraima mountains would certainly impress mountain climbers. It is important to book early in order to ensure a place reserved to view these amazing venues.

Beaches

Guyana is home to four of the eight species of sea turtles. The Almond Beach is one of a kind in the world!

Your trip to Guyana would be incomplete without it. The Brilliant Scarlet Ibis where the Shell Beach resides is another must-see. Tourists also find the Courantyne boasts of the so-called No. 63 beach very attractive and you are welcome to share the experience.

Others beaches to choose from include the Saxacalli Beach and the Essequibo, Mazaruni rivers, Kaieteur National Park and the popular Kaieteur Falls. The Kaieteur Falls favorably compares with the Niagara Falls and Victoria Falls in both beauty and grandeur.

Historical Sites

One of the reasons why Guyana remains a popular tourist attraction is its historical sites.

The Dutch fort ruins are a good place to start your tour. Then you can let the excitement grow as you visit the gold-mining town of Bartica aptly described as 'the gateway to the interior'.

If you are a high-tech freak then you might like to include Santa Mission in your itinerary. Georgetown houses the airport and the Yarwkabra Nature Trail- owned and managed by the Forestry Commission. Other must-see sites in Guyana include the Law Courts and State House, St George's Cathedral, Botanical Gardens and Zoo spanning a whopping 120 acres!

The Cultural Centre in Guyana is arguably the best theatre in the Caribbean. Of course there are other attractions including the Walter Roth Anthropological Museum and the Natural History Museum with its great stock of artifacts displaying all aspects of culture and life in Guyana.

What more? You can also choose between activities like camping treks, cricket, hockey, white-water rafting, hiking and bird watching.

With its rich blend of nature and culture, Guyana is your one-stop tourist centre. Welcome!!

by Pushpitha Wijesinghe

Bangkok is intermingling of something old and something new, between its mega malls and endless streets full of shopping avenues lay relics and powerful reminders of the past. Thailand is referred to as a 'land of smiles', and its capital is its powerhouse. Bangkok beckons people from all walks of life, and wallets of varying sizes. Known to be one of the most travelled to and most desired tourist destinations, Bangkok won't disappoint you.
Of the many wonderful things to appreciate about this nation in all her unrestrained glory is their world renowned Thai silk. The origins of silk itself was set to have come from China. Empress Si Ling Chi was seated under a Mulberry tree in her garden when a silkworm cocoon fell in to her tea cup, and while she was removing it, she noticed that fine strands of silk thread that unravelled as she pulled. Silk is known to have been around for over 3,000 years.

Traditional Thai silk comes from a silkworm known as Bombyx mori. It takes a Mulberry leaf meal diet of one year to form one cocoon. There are several types of Thai silk available, each of them is distinguishable by the peacock emblem on them, which ensures the consumer that they are authentic and of a high standard. The gold peacock denotes that the silk is Royal Thai Silk, made from native silkworms and hand woven. Royal Thai Silk is of the highest quality and hence the consumer will have to pay a higher price. The silver peacock means that the silk is made from specific breeds of silkworm and hand woven. The blue peacock denotes that material is made from pure silk threads but no specific mode of manufacture is defined and the material may come in many colour variances. The green peacock shows that the material is made from a mix of different threads and no specific colour is determined.

The best possible place to buy Thai silk is whilst in Thailand itself. Some of the most reputed manufacturers can be found in Bangkok. Ask the advice of your hotel in Bangkok prior to your purchase. Bangkok Grand President provides some of the best Sukhumvit apartments and will be a great place to start exploring Bangkok in your search for the best Thai silk. Staying in a Bangkok serviced apartment created by this reputed hotel, will undoubtedly give you levels of service and facilities that are superlative.

How To Make More Warcraft Gold With Secret Gold Guide

by Secret Gold Guide

The Secret Gold Guide and Warcraft Tycoon Gold Guide
They are many gold making guides out there. Many warcraft players who want to buy some of these guides really don't know which one to buy which will enable them to make tons and tons of gold in the warcraft game. The secret gold guide and the Tycoon gold guide are great guides which can show you how to make that much needed gold. But which one of them can you buy?

I have used these two guides and found that both of them were interesting. But to say the truth, Hayden Hawke's secret gold guide had an edge over the tycoon's gold guide. The tricks reveled in the secret gold guide are very new and fresh. The manner in which the guide is written is very explicit and easy to understand by all.

If you want to get a very comprehensive gold making guide which will teach you all the new and up-to-date methods of farming gold - show you all the spots which you can make the maximum amount of gold, teach you some tricks on using the auction house to make a killing with what you have, then secret gold guide is more apt to do that for you.

I have been using many gold making guides in the past. Some of them had good tricks but most of them were just a re-trash on some old outdated guides. When I came across Hayden Hawke'secret gold guide I was really pleased with it. You can read more about this guide and also download it by clicking on this link: Secret Gold Guide Review

If you are in the beginning stages of planning a holiday to Australia, you will certainly be interested in learning about the best types of holiday accommodation available across Australia. Similar to other countries around the world you can expect to find motels, hotels and bed and breakfasts. A quick search on the internet will present you with endless options.

Sometimes knowing a little bit about the major sites and attractions of a particular region, such as those listed below, can be helpful when deciding upon the style of accommodation to book / consider.

We have selected three Australian States that you may be interested in visiting and have noted a few of the popular sites & attractions available, along with a few types of accommodations to consider:

New South Wales (NSW)

Expect to find endless beautiful beaches, the fantastic Sydney harbour, the famous Blue Mountains and vineyards in the Hunter Valley. To take advantage of the amazing sea and harbour views look for hotels and apartments with balconies that let you take in the surrounding city and landscape. Look for a ski resort close to the slopes of the Blue Mountains that offers an unbeatable accommodation package.

Queensland

Also known as Surfers Paradise, this State is home to the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest and the Whitsunday Islands. Find a central hotel in the Gold Coast to enjoy the world-class nightclubs and energy of the city. Relax in the peaceful surroundings of a private retreat in the ambience of the Daintree Rainforest.

South Australia

Adelaide is the capital of this State. The surrounding regions are well known for their wineries, such as the Barossa Valley, where you can enjoy luxury rural hotel lodging. Several States combine to make Australia the sixth largest country in the world: New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia - plus the two major mainland territories - the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). You sure won't miss this Country's massive landmass on the atlas, with the majority of this landmass commonly known as the 'Outback'.
