Last weekend, I escaped the busy city and spent two relaxing days in a small countryside town at Koh Kong. The air felt fresher, the streets were quiet, and everything moved at a slower, calmer pace. One of the best parts of the trip was trying the local food.
I visited a tiny family-run Fried Banana (Chek Chean) where made with fresh banana from nearby farms. I also have a chance to tried on chicken wings BBQ with full of herbs, and a sweet dessert that tasted like something passed down through generations. Each meal felt more personal than anything I usually eat in the city.
By the time the weekend was over, I realized that the flavors of the place were just as memorable as the beautiful views and food.
